We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Assistant for our Beef Processing plant.
This role requires someone who is innovative, smart and reliable. You should possess the ability to produce quality outcomes in a timely manner while being part of a supportive team that allows you to work effectively autonomously.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the HR Department with day-to-day tasks and Employee Relations issues.
* Maintain personnel information and confidentiality of information.
* Receive enquiries from current and prospective employees.
* Liaise with management regarding employee absenteeism.
* Support recruitment activities including face-to-face and phone interviews.
* Regularly update company policies and procedures to ensure currency.
* Support compliance and procedural auditors.
* Maintain employee electronic records and database.
* Compile reports and data for management.
* Conduct investigations and receive employee statements.
* Support performance management outcomes when required.
Requirements
* Previous experience in Human Resources.
* Knowledge of current Industrial Relations workplace legislations.
* Good computer skills in Word and Excel.
* Excellent communication and phone skills.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Previous experience in manufacturing or agricultural industry preferred.
* A high level of confidentiality.
* Own reliable transport as public transport isn't available.
* Knowledge of visa and labour hire agreements.
