We are seeking a Senior QA Coach to play a key leadership role in driving quality across our software engineering teams. In this pivotal position, you'll champion a shift-left testing mindset and help embed quality at every stage of the development lifecycle.
About the Role
This is more than a testing role – it's about influencing process and mindset to embed quality at the heart of everything we do.
* Drive Delivery and Continuous Improvement:
* Take a hands-on role in QA at the squad level to assess current practices and shape the future strategy.
* Champion Mable's Lean methodology, with a focus on automation and embedding QA into developer workflows.
* Monitor and report on QA effectiveness, including automation progress and test results across teams.
* Continuously upskill in automation, coaching, and agile QA principles.
* Collaborate with Engineering Managers and senior QA coaches to embed a culture of quality excellence.
* Own and lead initiatives that go beyond your role – take the reins and make an impact.
Lead QA Coaching and Capability Building
Grow and standardise QA practices across teams using shared tools and frameworks.
* Culture of Quality Excellence:
* Coach engineers on shift-left testing principles – building quality in from the very beginning.
* Support engineering leaders in building autonomous, high-quality teams.
* Help design and evolve QA resourcing models that scale with our squads' needs.
* Educate and support development teams by embedding modern QA practices at every level.
Own the Automation Strategy
Lead the transition from manual testing to smart automation across the product.
* Six Key Areas for Focus:
* Identify high-impact areas for automation and research the best-fit tools and frameworks.
* Communicate the benefits of automation to stakeholders.
* Design and implement a thoughtful change management process that addresses both technical and people needs.
