About the Role
G&M Event Group is one of Australia's leading private event entertainment and lighting companies, based in Brisbane. We specialise in weddings and also deliver entertainment for school dances, corporate events, birthday parties, charity events and more.
Due to strong demand, we are expanding our Mobile DJ team and are looking for confident, music-loving people who want to perform at high-quality events and be part of a professional, supportive team.
Previous DJ experience is welcome but not required. We provide paid, structured training, mentoring, and all professional equipment.
What You'll Be Doing
* DJing at weddings and private events
* Delivering engaging, crowd-responsive music tailored to each event
* Preparing playlists based on client requests and recommendations
* Setting up and packing down professional PA and lighting equipment
* Providing first-class customer service to clients and guests
* Representing a multi award-winning entertainment company
* Working independently on events while being supported by a wider team
Training & Support
* Paid, structured training pathway
* On-the-job training at live events
* Coaching and mentoring from experienced Event DJs and MCs
* All equipment and music supplied — no need to own your own gear

This Role Is a Great Fit If You:
* Have a fun, confident, outgoing personality
* Love music across all decades and genres
* Are comfortable playing what the client wants, not just your personal taste
* Are well presented and professional
* Have strong customer service skills
* Can work independently and as part of a team
* Are available most evenings, especially weekends
* Hold a valid driver's licence
* Have reliable transport (minimum 4-door hatchback to fit equipment)
This Role Is Not a Good Fit If You:
* Only want to play a specific genre or your own music style
* Are not open to training, feedback, or improvement
* Do not have a car or driver's licence
* Are uncomfortable performing solo at events
* Are not prepared to be part of a team
