The Opportunity
A Local Government organisation is seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to provide strategic and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle.
Reporting to the HR Manager, this role plays a key part in supporting leaders and employees across all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations and organisational development.
You will act as a trusted advisor to executives, managers and staff, helping guide workforce decisions while ensuring compliance with industrial instruments, legislation and contemporary HR practices.

6. Professional development and career growth opportunitiesAbout the Role You will deliver a broad range of HR advisory and operational services across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:
7. Providing day-to-day HR advice to managers and employees across the employee lifecycle
8. Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and retention initiatives
9. Providing guidance on employment legislation, awards and industrial agreements
10. Supporting employee relations matters including performance management, grievances and conflict resolution
11. Preparing employment documentation including offers, variations and terminations
12. Mentoring leaders on people management and workforce practices
13. Developing and reviewing HR policies, procedures and best-practice frameworks
14. Contributing to workforce analytics, reporting and HR systems improvements
15. Supporting leadership development, succession planning and organisational capability initiativesAbout You You are a confident HR professional with strong advisory skills and the ability to work effectively across a diverse workforce. You will bring:
16. Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related discipline
17. Minimum 5 years' experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor role
18. Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial agreements and HR best practice
19. Proven experience providing HR advice to managers and leadership teams
20. Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
21. Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving capability
