Manufacturing Opportunity for CNC Operator
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our Workshop team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development.
As a CNC Operator, you will play a vital role in the production process, contributing to the manufacturing of high-quality products.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling
* Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements
* Monitor the performance of machinery to ensure efficiency and accuracy
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards of production
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns effectively
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machining processes and be proficient in interpreting technical drawings.
**Skills and Experience:**
* Trade qualified Fitter/Machinist with Certificate 3 in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent ideal
* Proven experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment with strong manual machining skills
* Proficiency in operating and maintaining various workshop machinery and tools
* Willingness to engage in manual mill and lathe activities in CNC machine operating and down time
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
* Knowledge of different materials and their machining requirements
* Familiarity with quality control processes and standards in a workshop environment
* Strong attention to detail and precision in executing machining tasks
* Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with machinery
* Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
* Adherence to health and safety regulations in a workshop setting
**Desirable Skills - Training will be Provided:**
* Experience as a CNC Operator (Lathes specifically) or similar role beneficial
* Basic understanding or exposure to CNC programming (G-code/IGF-Interactive Graphic Function)
* Experience with specific control systems (Okuma)
