The Role Reporting to the General Manager, Operations the HR Coordinator will play an integral role in supporting the company's people operations.
Guiding all levels of employees, you will contribute to developing and maintaining contemporary human resource and safety management practice to lead the business through compliance and reputation management.
Key responsibilities will include:Maintain best-practice HR, safety, and governance policies aligned with business objectivesManage end-to-end recruitment, including position descriptions, advertising, assessments, selection, and onboardingCoordinate performance management systems, including KPIs, reviews, and training programsProvide employee relations and safety advice, interpreting awards, resolving grievances, and supporting performance managementPromote a strong safety culture through risk management, audits, incident reporting, and WHS initiativesDrive employee engagement through surveys, training needs analysis, succession planning, and cultural initiativesSupport continuous improvement in people operations, technology solutions, and reportingAct as a role model and coach, guiding managers in resolving staff performance and member issuesRespond to HR inquiries, providing accurate and timely information to employeesOversee payroll in coordination with the external payroll providerManage employment contracts and ensure recruitment practices meet legal and organisational standardsHandle Work Cover cases and ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulationsParticipate in health and wellbeing activities and report all incidents, near misses, and hazardsAdhoc administration and office related tasks The Person As a tertiary qualified individual, you will have several years' experience working in a HACCP or a highly regulated environment, with proven experience navigating complexities within Manufacturing, FMCG or similar industries.
You will have demonstratable employee engagement skills to support culture change to this performance driven family operated business and embed human resource and safety functions.This is a permanent part time role with 3 full days (0.6) or hours spread across 5 days per week onsite in Altona.
