About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual basis (Thursday & Friday).
This is a dynamic role where you will work closely with our Specialists and Oral Health Therapists, while also supporting and mentoring junior team members. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards and ensuring a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Chairside assisting for surgical and non-surgical procedures
* Supporting sterilisation processes and strict infection control protocols
* Laboratory duties, including intra-oral scanning
* Providing patient education, reassurance, and support
* Assisting with reception and administrative tasks when required
* Contributing to a smooth, efficient patient journey
* Mentoring junior dental assistants and promoting best practices

About You
* Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (preferred)
* Strong understanding of infection control and sterilisation standards
* Highly organised with excellent time management
* Calm and adaptable in a fast-paced clinical environment
* Surgical assisting experience (including IV sedation) is advantageous
* Proactive, reliable, and takes initiative
* Strong interpersonal skills and a team-focused mindset
