We are currently seeking an experienced Operations/Branch Manager to oversee our Southeast Queensland seafood facility, which includes a fresh fish processing operation. Key Responsibilities:
* Seafood purchasing, maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality and competitive pricing.
* Lead and manage the daily operations of a busy seafood distribution facility, including a fresh fish production facility.
* Drive branch sales growth through strategic business development and identifying new market opportunities.
* Manage a diverse team across sales, operations, and fresh fish processing, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations, food safety standards, and quality control measures for all fresh and frozen seafood products.
* Oversee stock management, inventory control, and cost analysis to maximise branch efficiency and profitability.
* Collaborate with senior management to set branch targets, budgets, and performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights.
Key Requirements:
* Extensive experience in the seafood industry, particularly in purchasing and fresh fish processing.
* Proven track record in branch or operations management within the food distribution or seafood sector.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and manage a multi-disciplinary team effectively.
* Comprehensive knowledge of seafood products, market trends, and relevant industry regulations.
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with experience in sourcing fresh and frozen seafood.
* Financial acumen, including experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and driving profitability.
