Job Summary
As a Field Examiner, you will participate primarily in the execution of accounts receivable securitization examinations, and secondarily in the execution of asset-based loan examinations.
You will be responsible for analytic and auditing tasks as well as documenting and evaluating reporting functionalities.
Although under the supervision of more experienced staff you should be able to independently analyze and assess performance metrics of underlying accounts receivable pools consistent with applicable receivables purchase agreements in place.
Our candidate profile is for a talented individual that can be developed to independently execute asset based collateral field examinations, using a risk-based approach that requires communication and collaboration with our professionals, borrowers, as well as our lender clients.
This candidate should have experience demonstrating critical thinking, analytical capabilities, audit experience and have a desire to learn and grow in their career.
Although a CPA license is not required the candidate should possess a strong background in both finance and accounting concepts, with an ability to assess and evaluate the impact of revenue accounting treatment on, and potential offsets to, subject accounts receivable collateral pools.

- Effectively perform and document audit activities in accordance with professional standards and methodologies
- Perform detail testing as defined by the accounts receivable securitization examination program to analyze and validate information
- Execute testing and create clear and concise documentation of testing results and exceptions
- Understand procedures, accounting entries, results, receivable pool and required reserve impacts; and document and express such understanding concisely in both written and verbal form
- Contribute to and promote a positive environment and improve team effectiveness
- Consolidate workpapers/report in cohesive manner when assisted by junior staff.
- Maintain a current professional development plan reflecting a commitment to self-development
- Meet administrative reporting requirements in a timely manner
What We're Looking For
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, audit, or finance.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience with large complex asset-based field exams.
Must have knowledge of borrowing base lending or secured finance.
Financial auditing or forensic accounting a plus.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word; knowledge of PowerPoint is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Attributes: High integrity, strong business acumen, critical thinking abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Travel: Willingness to travel within the U.S. (10-25% of the year).
