Details A Northern QLD hospital requires a Specialist in Paediatric Cardiology from 05/01/2026 to 07/08/2026.
The position will provide ambulatory and inpatient care to children and young people requiring subspeciality cardiology services.
The role will be supported by a newly funded significant uplift in FTE, including an additional clinical nurse consultant, two sonographers, additional administration support, a 0.8FTE psychologist and 0.5 FTE social worker.
The role involves caring for a population including high numbers of indigenous children in remote communities with high rates of rheumatic heart disease.
Additional subspecialty interests are highly desirable, including foetal echocardiography and/or imaging interests.
