About the Role
3 days a week – permanent part-time. Based inBoronia – on site. Small closely knit team. The Payroll Officer reports into the finance team and will focus on managing end‐to‐end multi‐state payroll processing while also supporting the accounts payable function when required. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys working across both payroll and AP in a multi‐site environment with a closely knit team.
Key Responsibilities
* Process end-to-end multi‐cycle payroll across multiple states
* Maintain and audit payroll records including new starters and terminations, salary adjustments, tax withholdings, direct deposits
* Perform pre- and post-payroll reconciliations
* Process payroll journals and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
* Manage payroll tax, superannuation, and workers compensation reconciliations
* Complete end‐of‐financial‐year payroll reconciliations and STP finalisation
* Prepare and lodge monthly and annual payroll tax returns across VIC, NSW, QLD, and TAS
* Support the Accounts Payable function when required
About You
This role will suit someone who:
* Has 3–4years of experience managing multi‐site and multi‐state payroll
* Has a minimum of 2years' experience in Accounts Payable
* Has experience using Kronos, MYOB or has experience in manual payroll processing
* Possesses strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Is familiar with Awards
* Enjoys working collaboratively within a small team environment
* Is based in Melbourne's eastern or south‐eastern suburbs – Boronia
