Experience or ability to deliver of group-based behavioural change programs
Experience in and understanding of the criminal justice, case management or similar human services field
Experience in a practice supervision both as supervisee and preferably a supervisor with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and encourage others to meet the challenges of demanding work roles
Ability to engage with community groups and/or implement community development strategies
Experience or ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
Understanding and application of theories, models and research related to behavioural change techniques
Knowledge and application of research and practices, risk assessment instruments, process their application specific to effective correctional rehabilitation
Knowledge, interpretation and application of legislation, policies and procedures
Experience in problem solving, networking, risk management and conflict management
Mandatory requirements
The possession of a tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, education or behavioural sciences.
Membership or affiliation with a relevant professional association will be highly regarded.
For Program Delivery Officers specialising in the delivery of violence and sexual offending programs you will be provided with training in the use of relevant assessment tools (appropriate treatment. This training is a mandatory requirement following appointment to a PDO position.
Other conditions and requirements
There may be instances where the incumbent will be required to work hours outside the normal work hours, undertake travel to other locations, or temporarily work from an alternate location.
