Lead Global Agricultural Innovation The Agricultural Business Research Institute (ABRI) is seeking a commercially astute Head of Corporate Services with a strong accounting and business management background to join its leadership team in Armidale. For more than 50 years, ABRI has been driving genetic progress in the cattle industry. Today, ABRI’s data and technology support 70 breed societies and more than 66 million recorded animals worldwide, positioning the organisation as a global leader in livestock genetic evaluation and agricultural innovation. About the Role The Head of Corporate Services is responsible for leading and developing the organisation’s corporate services functions, ensuring strong governance, financial management and operational support across the business. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role oversees finance, administration, human resources and infrastructure, with a strong focus on strengthening systems, improving processes and building capability across these functions. A key aspect of the role will be fostering strong communication and collaboration across teams to support organisational functionality and efficiency. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional to shape and strengthen the foundations of a growing organisation, ensuring corporate services effectively support ABRI’s operations and strategic direction. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the organisation’s corporate services functions, including finance, HR, administration and infrastructure Strengthen financial management, reporting and budgeting processes to support sound business decisions Build and improve systems, policies and operational processes across corporate services Foster strong internal communication and collaboration to support organisational functionality and efficiency Provide commercial and financial insight to the CEO and leadership team Ensure strong governance, compliance and risk management frameworks are maintained Lead and mentor members of the corporate services team Support organisational planning and growth through effective corporate services leadership About You This role will suit a career-minded professional motivated by the opportunity to build capability and contribute to the growth of a respected organisation. The successful candidate will bring: A strong accounting and/or business management background (CA, CPA or equivalent preferred) Demonstrated experience leading corporate or shared services functions Proven ability to develop systems, processes and organisational capability Strong financial management, budgeting and reporting expertise Must have strong experience on financial and preparation of annual reports Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills A collaborative leadership style and the ability to work both strategically and operationally Why Join ABRI?
