*The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Day Medical Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Deliver a high standard of care to acute and chronic patients
Coordinate care and patient flow through comprehensive patient assessment
Facilitate therapeutic professional relationships between staff and teams
Work as an inclusive team member providing mentoring and communication skills
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us
The Tugun Day Medical Unit consists of 10 treatment spaces, one procedure room, and nine patient treatment chairs. Tugun DMU currently runs seven funded treatment spaces which is managing infusions currently for Neurology, Gastroenterology (IBD specific), Infectious Disease, Endocrine, Rheumatology and Iron (with exception of Hematology) for the Hospital and Health Service.
The Clinical nurse role is a clinical role which includes direct care with patient allocation. The unit provides care to chronic and acute non chemotherapy patients and works collaboratively with outpatients and inpatient care units. Patient-centred and evidence-based care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team.
