Job Title:
Operational Nursing Director
The Perioperative Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of perioperative nursing care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This key leadership role involves exercising advanced clinical judgment, strategic planning, and workforce analysis to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care and operational performance.
* Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
* Lead and manage the perioperative nursing team to achieve outstanding results and deliver exceptional care.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to foster a respectful culture where collaboration and teamwork are valued.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Exercise advanced clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making processes in the delivery and coordination of perioperative nursing care.
2. Strategic planning and workforce analysis recognising and aiding staff development and satisfaction.
3. Management of multiple surgical specialties, procedures, instrumentation, and equipment used.
Requirements:
* Registered as a Registered nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated managerial experience and clinical leadership skills in Perioperative Nursing.
* Strategic planning and workforce analysis and development capabilities.
* Well-developed knowledge of ACORN Standards, HICMR, AS5369 and National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
* Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills including effective negotiation and conflict resolution.
