About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee and coordinate a local plumbing construction company. This role involves managing the successful delivery of both local and defence projects in the Northern Territory, strictly adhering to budgets and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
* Team management and development
* Develop and track project schedules, including trade manpower loading for projects.
* Perform job cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting to help determine final project costs while also estimating changes in scope of work.
* Manage works in accordance with the Project Management Plan.
* Procure and manage project subcontractors and equipment vendors.
* Inspect job sites on a regular basis for contract compliance, workmanship, and safety.
Qualifications
* Solid understanding of the construction process in its entirety.
* Advanced knowledge of plumbing and drainage systems - highly desirable.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in project management of commercial construction projects for a commercial contractor.
What Makes You Successful in This Role
* Knowledge and application of AS3500 and AS1428 - highly desirable.
* Effective project planning and scheduling capabilities.
* Theoretical and practical understanding of contract management.
* Quality management knowledge QA/QC.
* Solid understanding of established HSECQ systems and principles.
