About the role
This is a great opportunity for a Structural Engineer with some Post-Tensioned Concrete skills who relishes working on a variety of projects. We are seeking an outgoing, ambitious Engineer with excellent communication, a keen eye for detail, and high proficiency in report writing and documentation. Your role will be varied; you will perform site inspections and identify structural and non-structural building defects. You will compile dilapidation reports based on site visits. The role offers the opportunity to undertake a range of responsibilities that will include site visits, forensic investigations, building inspections, documentation/photographs, writing reports, specifications, major defect rectification/problem resolution, design assessments, and tender estimations. The ideal candidate will be able to work under direction and will have a drive and motivation for self-development and improvement.
Key Responsibilities, Skills and Qualifications
* A Structural Engineer with around 2 years of industry experience
* Design Coordination
* Project Coordination
* Design Assessments
* Preliminary design and some detailed design - including PT design
* Estimation, assessing and preparing tenders and submissions
* Post-tensioning and Structural Remedial Works
* Site investigations and reporting
* Coordination with clients
* Preparing quotes
* Responding to all emails and phone calls, both internally and externally, within a reasonable timeframe
* Maintain and create client relationships to help further build the company profile
* Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or building construction or a similar field
* Full working rights in Australia
