About the role
Yering Station, a renowned winery in the heart of the Yarra Valley, is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the smooth running and continued success of our acclaimed on-site restaurant. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated hospitality professionals and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The role is based at our picturesque Yarra Valley location in Victoria.
What you'll be doing
* Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, reservations, and budgeting
* Ensure consistently high standards of food and beverage service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
* Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing leadership, training, and development opportunities for the restaurant team
* Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and enhance the restaurant's reputation
* Liaise with other department managers to align restaurant operations with the overall business objectives
* Monitor and analyse sales data and financial performance, making informed decisions to drive profitability
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations
What we're looking for
* Significant experience (3+ years) in restaurant management or a similar senior hospitality role
* Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and customer-focused culture
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, staff, and stakeholders
* Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions
* Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, including inventory management, labour costs, and product cost control
* Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience
