Role Summary
As a growing health service, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for you to join The Friendlies' established surgical facility as a General Surgeon. The Friendlies is open to accepting a General Surgeon with or without a surgical speciality. The employment model options include full private practice, full‑time salaried or salaried with the transitional employment model to private practice after a defined period.

The Person
We are looking for someone who is looking to advance their Surgical career, live in an enviable location and who encompasses the organisations CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
Key Selection Criteria
* A primary medical/surgical degree with extensive post‑graduate experience
* Specialist registration or ability to acquire specialist registration with AHPRA
* Specialist qualification as a Surgeon with a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or New Zealand Association of General Surgeons (NZAGS), or equivalent
* Current medical indemnity insurance
* Further postgraduate clinical training and qualifications to General Surgery level acceptable to the Australian Medical Board and the relevant professional body or association

It is a mandatory condition of employment that some roles within our hospital require you to be vaccinated, and remain vaccinated during your employment, against some or all of the following vaccine preventable diseases: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping cough), and Hepatitis.
