The consumer strategy and operations team is responsible for growing our consumer base, and increasing their engagement while being the advocate of the consumer internally in Uber. We serve millions of consumers every day, and we work with multiple stakeholders across the business to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for our consumers.
We are looking for a strong problem solver with a data & analytics background who is excited to grapple with strategic questions and roll up their sleeves to get stuff done.
**About The Role**:
As part of the Consumer team, you will generate practical insights by analyzing market information, financial and operational metrics, and consumer behaviour, to shape our strategy and priorities, and plan & implement projects to deliver on our strategy, meet business objectives and improve customer experience.
**The impact you'll have**:
- Your day-to-day work will mostly entail leading deep dives to inform specific strategic decisions accounting for our eater engagement strategy, consumer experience and broader business needs, or to assess and make recommendations on identified/hypothesized opportunities
- You will also be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining "dashboards" related to consumer experience that inform and influence business decisions across the organization
**The experience you'll bring**:
- Experience in analytical roles gained with a tech company, management consulting, finance, or in a fast-paced environment
- A bias for data and analytics - You naturally take a scientific and highly analytical approach to everything you do with strong attention to detail and accuracy. You know how to use data to make decisions and are experienced with analytical / data tools:
- Excel/Google Sheets proficiency in working across large data sets is critical
- SQL experience (e.g. writing complex queries, and navigating multifaceted databases) is crucial
- Experience in coding languages (e.g. Python / R) is required
- Experience in using data visualization tools such as Tableau
