QBuild is expanding Join QBuild for an exciting career opportunity as a Principal Supervisor, overseeing projects and programs to ensure QBuild delivers construction and maintenance projects efficiently and successfully.
QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About the role
You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing exceptional project and program management expertise.
Duties and skills involved:
* Plan and deliver projects and programs for partner agencies, ensuring value for money, efficiencies, and determined outcomes are achieved.
* Provide high-level supervisory services in planning, procurement, and delivery of construction, maintenance, and upgrade work undertaken by QBuild.
* Manage regional resources to effectively deliver construction, maintenance, and upgrade projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and practices.
* Develop and implement procurement frameworks and procedures to ensure efficient and effective contract management and administration across the region.
* Enhance client relationships through effective communication, sound negotiation, and successful project and program delivery while maintaining a healthy and safe work environment and proactively managing staff performance and conduct.
