Senior Heritage Consultant
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heritage Consultant to join our team in the Hunter region. As a Senior Heritage Consultant, you will be responsible for working with our clients to identify, document, and manage cultural heritage sites and artifacts.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Conducting site visits and surveys to identify and document cultural heritage sites and artifacts;
* Developing management plans to protect and conserve cultural heritage sites and artifacts;
* Collaborating with stakeholders to develop solutions that balance competing interests and meet regulatory requirements;
* Providing expert advice on cultural heritage matters to clients and other stakeholders.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will also possess strong communication and project management skills. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent time management and organizational skills.
Our ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field (such as archaeology, anthropology, or history) and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. You will also need to have a good understanding of current heritage legislation and practices.
