Pioneer State High School is seeking expressions of interest for a dedicated and motivated Deputy Principal to join the leadership team, with responsibility for Years 8, 10, and 12, as well as school attendance. This is a unique opportunity to take on a key leadership role focused on enhancing student engagement, wellbeing, and achievement across these year levels. The successful applicant will lead whole-school attendance strategies, work collaboratively with staff and families, and contribute to a strong, inclusive school culture. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will play an active role in driving strategic direction and fostering continuous improvement.

About The Role

As the Deputy Principal, you will play a vital leadership role in driving educational excellence across the school. With specific responsibility for Years 8, 10, and 12, as well as overseeing school attendance, you will be instrumental in improving student outcomes, enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, and fostering strong, positive relationships among students, staff, the wider community, and key stakeholders. This is a temporary full-time position for a period of six weeks, unless otherwise determined.

Your Responsibilities

As the Deputy Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


* Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Deputise for the Principal when required.
* Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
* Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
