The Opportunity
Our Lysaght business is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join the Customer Service Team based in Canberra. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.
Being the face of BlueScope, you will ensure all our customers receive exceptional service. You'll be joining a supportive, fast paced customer focused team renowned for their high performance.
This is a Monday to Friday position, offering flexibility for work/life balance, access to our Employee Assistance Program, and ongoing training and development opportunities.
What Will You Do?
Duties
This role will offer variety and scope for an enthusiastic team player who enjoys the full spectrum of a busy workplace. You will take ownership of the end-to-end order management process while building and nurturing strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are met with efficiency, accuracy, and a high level of service. In addition to general sales and customer service duties, you'll be responsible for the following:
* providing friendly, face-to-face service and prompt online support to ensure every customer receives timely and helpful assistance
* proactively following up on quotes and inquiries to guide customers through their purchase journey and turn interest into positive sales outcomes
* working closely with our marketing, warehouse, and sales teams to deliver on customer needs from tailored product specifications to reliable, on-time delivery
* always looking for new and better ways to enhance the customer experience and exceed expectations at every touchpoint
More About You
As an experienced customer service professional with exposure to managing client accounts, you will bring:
* a commitment to providing and fostering an exceptional customer experience
* superior attention to detail with the ability to resolve issues and identify solutions
* intermediate to advanced skills of MS Office, including MS Excel
* excellent communication and relationship building skills
* a passion for sales, building design and/or architecture
* a team player who thrives in a collaborative, energetic and enthusiastic environment
