About the role:
Curtin University's School of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Sciences is seeking applications for an enthusiastic Lecturer (ALB) or Senior Lecturer (ALC) to join our dynamic team in a full-time (1.0 FTE) capacity.
This position arises from exciting changes to our Pharmacy programs, with the imminent launch of innovative new Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) and Doctor of Pharmacy (Extended Masters) programs. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about pharmacy education and committed to delivering clinical teaching to meet the evolving expectations of future pharmacists.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the transition to the new programs, especially through integration of Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Pharmacy Practice content across the full scope of pharmacist practice. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring a high-quality educational experience for our students and preparing them for the challenges and rewards of a pharmacy career.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Teaching & Learning
* Coordinate and facilitate innovative and effective learning activities through various delivery methods within the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) and Doctor of Pharmacy programs.
* Lead curriculum design, development of learning materials, and innovative assessment practices to enhance student learning, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and contemporary pharmacy practice.
* Engage in professional development and scholarship initiatives, and secure external grants to support learning and teaching initiatives.
* Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment that accommodates student diversity.
Selection Criteria
Who we are looking for:
* A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline or a minimum of 10 years' relevant clinical experience, or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for Teaching Focused Clinical Professional role.
* Current registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and understanding of contemporary pharmacy practice.
* Demonstrated high-level teaching skills and a reflective approach to learning design and delivery.
* A strong understanding of contemporary pedagogical theory and clinical educational practice.
* An emerging record of contribution to scholarship in learning and teaching.
* Demonstrated experience/capacity to undertake unit coordination.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with a commitment to fostering a collegial, supportive and inclusive working environment.
* A passion for supporting students from diverse backgrounds and a genuine alignment with Curtin's values of Integrity, Respect, Courage, Excellence and Impact.
If you would like to be considered for an ALC (Senior Lecturer) level, please ensure that you also add the following criteria in addition to the above:
* A significant contribution to innovation and scholarship in learning and teaching with an emerging record of success in winning external grants to support teaching projects and initiatives.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead learning and teaching initiatives and provide mentoring to less experienced staff.
* An emerging record of peer reviewed learning and teaching publications in high-quality journals (please replace the above number 5 with this number 3 criteria).

This Continuing ALB - ALC level role attracts a remuneration of $118,308 - $140,147 (ALB level) or $144,512 – 166,354 (ALC level) pro-rata + 17% superannuation.
