About the role
The Guest Services Agent (GSA) is responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest service and standards are achieved. The GSA acts as the main point of contact for all resort guests and works in collaboration with other departments to ensure a welcoming and harmonious experience for our day and overnight guests.
Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Welcome and assist guests on arrival, ensuring exceptional customer service throughout their stay
- Transport guest luggage using trolleys, carts, and electric transport buggy
- Promote resort services and activities; arrange tours, excursions, dining, and recreational activities as required
- Handle guest requests including amenities, special occasions, and personalised experiences
- Address guest concerns or escalate issues to management when required
- Assist with docking cruise vessels by throwing ropes and securing gangways for secure boarding/disembarking
- Receive and manage reservation requests via phone, email, and online bookings, ensuring accurate data entry
- Provide information on resort amenities, accommodation options, rates, and special packages
- Confirm bookings and ensure guest preferences and special requests are recorded accurately
- Manage room inventory in coordination with housekeeping and maintenance teams
- Process guest payments (deposits, advance payments, and final settlements) via cash and EFTPOS
- Complete cash handling, reconciliation, and banking tasks as required

- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confidence in handling unexpected challenges
- Ability to work with a flexible rotating roster
