The Web Services team at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking a Web Officer to provide temporary support for the delivery and maintenance of CIT’s websites and intranet. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the digital experience of students and staff across CIT by ensuring that content is clear, accurate, accessible and aligned with CIT’s communication objectives and digital standards. We are looking for a motivated team player who is confident using content management systems such as Squiz Matrix and SharePoint Online, has a strong understanding of digital best practice, and enjoys working collaboratively to solve problems and deliver high-quality outcomes. The successful applicant will work under the broad direction of the CIT Digital Content Manager and be supported by a collaborative and innovative team that values continuous improvement. The primary responsibilities of the role will include: Maintaining CIT’s public websites (using Squiz Matrix) and intranet (SharePoint Online), including publishing and updating content to ensure consistency, accessibility and alignment with CIT’s brand and WCAG requirements. Providing advice and technical support to internal stakeholders to assist with digital content needs and improve user experience. Supporting administrative and quality assurance activities, including campaign support, asset maintenance and testing. Contributing to a respectful, inclusive and professional workplace, in line with ACT Public Service (ACTPS) values and the Respect, Equity and Diversity Framework.
