The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Cloud Solutions Architects to support a major Federal Government department delivering critical ICT projects across enterprise platforms, AI, and emerging technologies.
This is a hands-on architecture role focused on designing and delivering Azure-based solutions in a complex, secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver high-level and detailed solution architectures (HLD/DLD) for Azure environments
* Translate business requirements into scalable, secure cloud solutions
* Develop and support Azure DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
* Work closely with enterprise architects, cloud engineers, and cyber security teams
* Contribute to architecture governance, design approvals, and best practices
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Cloud Engineer
* Strong expertise across Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking)
* Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, ARM)
* Solid understanding of cloud security frameworks (ISM, Essential 8, OWASP)
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Highly Regarded
* Experience within Federal Government environments
* Exposure to AI/ML, data platforms, or integration architectures
* Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Requirements
* Must hold Baseline security clearance
* Ability to work onsite in Canberra (Remote working arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis).
