About the Opportunity
Retirees WA IS currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer with a passion for working in Aged Care, who is proactive and passionate about the management of resident care.
This is a full-time position, a busy role, and would suit someone who is friendly and can work well in a multidisciplinary team.
Retirees WA has 2 Aged Care Facilities
Salter Point Aged Care Facilitya 120-bed facility in Salter Point 6152
* A brand new facility, aiming to open in April 2024
Joseph Banks Aged Care Facilitya 81-bed facility in Canning Vale 6155
* A well-established 4-star facility
The Role
You will be required to attend to all preventative and corrective maintenance schedules of our Residential Aged Care Facility. Some of the responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
* Monitor and control supplies and equipment
* Oversee and coordinate any required contractors working on site
* Purchase and maintain materials, stores and provisions as required
* Undertake repair and cleaning work of plant and equipment as per manufacturers' guidelines
* Ensure day to day running of all maintenance requirements at the facility such as general repairs, waste removal, test and tagging.
Requirements
We are looking for a motivated hands-on individual who is proactive in assessing maintenance needs and can communicate and work with other team members and also individuals.
If you are an all-round handyman with skills and an eye for detail these are some of the traits that you should have as you will be required to coordinate the day to day maintenance works of the Residential Aged Care Facility.
