Job Summary
Duties include performing diagnoses and repairs in all areas, as well as communicating with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
* Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify areas requiring service or repair.
* Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs efficiently and accurately using advanced diagnostic equipment.
* Collaborate with the service advisor to determine additional work or time extensions.
* Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
* Stay up-to-date with manufacturer technical bulletins and participate in ongoing training programs.
* Supervise apprentice technicians and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including customer vehicles and dealership-owned tools and manuals.
* Operate equipment safely and maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have previous experience at an automotive dealership and possess strong mechanical skills and excellent customer service abilities.
* Strong understanding of the service drive and ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
* Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment and pass a background investigation.
