Roebuck Roadhouse is currently looking for an experienced chef to join our business located in the Kimberley, WA.
We are looking for passionate Chefs with industry knowledge and experience, with organisational skills that allow you to deliver consistent and quality food.
Your working week will be full-time and consist of a mix of morning and evening shifts with combinations or grillwork, preparation and cleaning.
Responsibilities
Undertaking grill work
Creation and preparation of menus, including assigning prices to menu items
Ensuring and enforcing nutrition and sanitation standards according to industry standards
Supervise cooking and kitchen personnel and coordinate their assignments to ensure economical and timely food production
Observe methods of food preparation and cooking, sizes of portions and garnishing of food to ensure food is prepared in prescribed manner
Assist with the monitoring of, and utilisation of, food surpluses and leftovers to reduce waste
Analyse recipes and determine food
Work within a team
Prepare special menu items for night shifts
Qualifications and skills for the role
Relevant cooking qualifications and minimum 12 months of experience
Ability to apply extensive experience in the food industry to everyday tasks
Effective communication, as well as a strong teamwork ethic
