About the Role
BDO is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the development, implementation, and ongoing operation of its Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
The role also supports business‐as‐usual activities across key risk areas, including contractor management, external appointments, modern slavery, and anti‐bribery and corruption.
Reporting to the ERM Manager, the Assistant Manager will take day‐to‐day responsibility for specific elements of the ERM framework and key risk processes, acting as a key liaison with internal stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate firm‐wide enterprise risk assessments, including documenting outcomes of risk workshops;
* Assess risk impacts, likelihoods, controls, and residual risk ratings;
* Maintain enterprise risk registers and monitor key risk indicators;
* Track risk treatment actions, control effectiveness, and timely closure of risk issues;
* Contribute to enterprise risk reporting and insights for management and governance forums;
* Prepare and coordinate the firm's Modern Slavery Statement, including data collection, drafting inputs, and internal stakeholder engagement;
* Conduct up‐to‐date slavery risk assessments through analysis of supplier disclosures and responses;
* Track and maintain records of supplier assessments, remediation actions, and follow‐up activities;
* Support responses to anti‐bribery and corruption (ABC) questionnaires and information requests;
* Review third‐party documentation to assess modern slavery and ABC compliance;
* Support risk assessments relating to external appointments, including liaising with the Independence, Conflicts and Ethics team.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
* Post‐graduate qualification or professional certification in risk management, governance, compliance or related field, or working towards one;
* 3+ years' experience in enterprise risk management, operational risk, compliance or internal audit;
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk information and contribute to meaningful risk insights;
* Clear, concise written communication skills, including the ability to draft risk summaries and stakeholder inputs;
* Effective stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work collaboratively across functions;
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
