People Operations is responsible for supporting Comcare operations by delivering essential human resources services and ensuring compliance with workplace policies and practices. The team works collaboratively to enhance employee experiences and organisational effectiveness.
People Operations consists of the following units: Payroll, Recruitment, and Workplace Relations. Together, these units support employees and managers throughout their employment lifecycle, including recruitment, remuneration and ensuring employees understand their conditions of service.
The key duties of the position include:
The role reports to an Executive Level 1 and manages administration of the Aurion HR system including supporting the design, development and implementation of Aurion process improvements, delivering functional enhancements, ensuring upgrades and technical change requirements are maintained, providing regular reporting, and assisting with running the fortnightly payroll.
The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Manage the end-to-end configuration and administration of Aurion.
* Identify, plan and undertake system upgrades, patches, and testing as required.
* Assess and resolve payroll anomalies arising from system issues, incorrect data, or how employment conditions have been interpreted.
* Assist in execution of the fortnightly pay runs in accordance with agreed timeframes including processing of the pay run, reconciliation of the pay to ensure payroll is accurate, reconciles and complies with all requirements including Single Touch Payroll reporting and other relevant legislation and industrial instruments.
* Develop and maintain system documentation, checklists and standard operating procedures for the payroll procedures.
* Develop, validate, and deliver payroll and recurring workforce reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Participate in corporate learning and development activities including projects and programs of work.
* Model and promote practices consistent with the APS Code of Conduct, APS Values and APS Employment Principles.
Mandatory experience
* Experience working with Aurion HR system.
Eligibility
* Australian citizenship.
* Character clearance (Australian Criminal History Check).
* Employee health declaration.
* Six months probationary period for new engagements.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a negative vetting 1 security clearance.
