Central Queensland | Residential Role (No FIFO)
An opportunity is available for an experienced Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join a well-established industrial operation in Central Queensland. This is a residential position offering long-term stability, strong technical exposure, and a supportive site-based team environment.
To support relocation, six months of free accommodation is provided for successful candidates moving to the region.
About the Role:
Reporting to the engineering leadership team, you will provide technical expertise across electrical, instrumentation, and control systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The role includes both hands-on troubleshooting and engineering support for maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide engineering support for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
* Troubleshoot and resolve plant E&I issues to minimise downtime
* Support maintenance strategies, inspections, and compliance activities
* Contribute to capital projects, upgrades, and system improvements
* Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
* Ensure compliance with Australian standards, site procedures, and safety requirements
* Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and contractors
Required Skillset:
* Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years' experience in an industrial, resources, or processing environment
* Strong exposure to instrumentation and control systems
* Practical, site-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
* Full rights to live and work in Australia
