How will I help?
Westpac’s Business and Consumer Financial Markets team provide execution, support, advice, and risk management services to customers across the Business and Consumer Division of the Group. The FX Advice team provides discrete personal advice to Retail classified business clients.
Ideally based in Sydney, you will be accountable for providing effective Personal FX Advice to business customers, whilst ensuring that all regulatory obligations are adhered to.
You will manage client referrals provided by the broader FX team and will be responsible for ensuring that all referrals are reviewed and actioned in a timely manner. As an Advisor you will operate under an advice only model while also supporting customers to implement the advice, including by managing onboarding documentation, credit limits and participating in the referral conversation with a FX Dealer to oversee the execution of transactions at the customers direction.
Customers are likely to be those which have had a change in current circumstances or objectives that require advice regarding their Foreign Exchange exposure. The Advisor will be responsible for developing and presenting recommendations to the referred client.
You will also:
* Employ an advanced understanding of FX risk management principles, deal requirements and products to exceed service expectation of customers and internal stakeholders.
* Collaboratively manage, review and execute FX Advice referrals for Retail FX customers, whilst meeting regulatory and compliance expectations, to create a great customer experience.
* Provide exceptional support, service, guidance and advice to Retail FX customers and their stakeholders and appropriately record customer interactions and advice provided.
* Grow the business by supporting customer acquisition and retention to achieve desired results for customers whilst improving business performance.
* Take ownership of referrals and complaints from stakeholders, seeing them through to their conclusion and providing feedback to stakeholders on their progress.
* Take ownership of risk in your role and perform your role in a way that reduces risk for our business and our customers.
