Job Description
We are seeking a technically astute and commercially driven Technical Sales Manager to manage and grow relationships across a key portfolio of multinational clients in Australia. As an individual contributor, you'll be responsible for the full sales cycle - from technical consultations to contract negotiation - focusing on tailored solutions for complex industrial applications. Additionally, the role will:
o Manage and develop existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities
o Deliver technical product presentations and support product development discussions with R&D and procurement teams
o Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing expert knowledge on speciality polymers, coatings, and advanced chemical materials
o Work closely with internal teams (technical, supply chain, marketing) to ensure client satisfaction and service excellence
o Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify strategic growth areas
The Successful Applicant
o Tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field
o Minimum 5 years' experience in B2B technical sales within the speciality chemicals or industrial materials space
o Proven track record managing multinational clients across sectors such as coatings, construction chemicals, adhesives, or industrial manufacturing
o Strong technical understanding of product formulations and performance requirements
o Self-motivated, results-oriented and confident working in an autonomous, individual contributor role
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
