2/2 rotations – Offshore from Outstanding Yarmouth
A Senior Structural Engineer is required to work primarily offshore on barge campaigns to support Southern North Sea and Dutch sector assets, on a variety of brownfield modifications and integrity related repairs.
As the Senior Structural Engineer, you will be working on a 2/2 rotation with the possibility of some onshore working days.
Scope of Services:
- Carry out engineering survey of structural elements identified as requiring replacement or repair;
- Provide engineering sketches for reinforcement/replacement/modification of steelwork in accordance with standards;
- Review & Approve lift plans;
- Carry out structural checks of structures for lifting/scaffolding/laydown proposals;
- Report progress to barge supervisor & participate in weekly progress meetings;
- Liaise with plant inspector & review inspection findings and carry out integrity checks accordingly; Alternatively determine repair/replacement solutions where required;
- Coordinate with material coordinator to order required supply of loose material for offshore fabrication;
- Raise site queries to ensure visibility by all team members of scope growth;
- Provide support as required for other disciplines, mechanical & piping, rigging, E&I;, etc.
- Issue signed off sketches/drawings to Shell DCC.
- Check and approve calculations.
- Ensure scopes are executed offshore in accordance with the design drawings.
- Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure for the energy sector.
- Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on emerging issues
- Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards
- Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate

Brownfield Project Experience desirable. Experience within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry will be preferable but not essential. Suitable design experience within other engineering industries will be considered where appropriate.
