This position is located in: Wagga Wagga
Working within a growing Work Health & Safety (WHS) function, you will partner with the WHS Officer to support the ongoing operation and continuous improvement of Sureway's WHS Management System.
You will take an proactive approach to risk management, incident reporting and investigations, safety reporting, and consultation, supporting leaders and teams to identify hazards, implement controls, and address safety issues.
This role suits someone with a solutions-focused, analytical mindset and a genuine interest in preventative risk management. Previous WHS experience is desirable but not essential; a strong commitment to learning and staying current with WHS legislation and best practice is key.
Duties
* Support and maintain Sureway's WHS Management System
* Assist with risk assessments, hazard identification, and controls
* Manage incident and complaint reporting and investigations
* Support internal and external audits and corrective actions
* Prepare WHS reports, policies, and procedures
* Provide WHS advice and consultation to managers and staff
* Maintain accurate WHS records and systems
