The current mine site locations are in the WA Goldfields region with multiple mining operations (both open pit and underground) as well as a number of satellite pits. **Description**:
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Resource Geologist to support the completion of geological models and resource estimates for Regis Resources' deposits. Reporting to the Resources Manager, you will work closely with a number of key internal stakeholders, providing technical support to our operational geology teams.
This is role is based in our modern well-appointed corporate offices in Subiaco, however there is an expectation of occasional site travel.
About the Role
Provide updated resource models and reports for Regis Resources' portfolio of deposits at an appropriate quality for reporting to the ASX;
Work closely with site teams to ensure mine geology processes are optimised, including resource development, grade control, extraction and performance monitoring;
Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders across Engineering, Metallurgy and Geology;
Contribute to the End-of-Month reconciliation process and actively use the Resource model, mine and mill reconciliation data to improve grade predictability; and
Conduct geological evaluations and provide input for the assessment of exploration assets.
**Skills and Experiences**:
About You
Tertiary qualification in Geology or related discipline, relevant postgraduate studies are highly regarded;
Operational experience in open pit and underground gold operations;
Familiarity and experience with the technical skills required for resource modelling including interpretation, geostatistics and geostatistical estimation of gold deposits;
Competent user of modelling, geostatistics and estimation software - Surpac, Leapfrog, Supervisor etc;
Experience in geological drill data management and exposure to resource and operational reconciliation;
Excellent communication and report writing skills; and
WA Drivers licence (manual).
