We are currently recruiting for a Buyer/Expeditor to join our team based at our Pinkenba office. The purpose of this role is to provide specialist procurement and logistics support to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of goods and services to Australian business.
Job Responsibilities
- Raising purchase orders using Epicor ERP system
- Confirming purchase orders with vendors
- Expediting Orders including direct engagement with vendors to develop solutions that meet order requirements
- Obtaining supplier QA documentation as required
- Provide logistics support. Eg. Obtaining shipping and logistics quotes, liaising with vendors for shipping documentation, arranging freight movements, creating purchase orders for freight and matching to invoices.
- Resolving invoice discrepancies
- Assist onboarding Vendors onto Vendor Portal and ensuring compliance with same.
- Assist with Vendor performance discussions in regards SIFOT and quality performance.
- Participate with other team members in projects lead by Purchasing Manager or Strategic Sourcing.
- Provide coverage and support to other procurement team members as required
What you bring
- Min 2 years procurement experience
- Experience in use of ERP system for purchasing
- Experience with arranging logistics (international freight experience an advantage)
- Must be willing to contact suppliers directly and engage to provide solutions and deliver on-time
- Experience working in project environment preferred
- Experience with reporting software
- Intermediate excel and Power BI experience an advantage
- Tertiary or industry qualifications in procurement or logistics an advantage
