As a Trackmaster, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains across our network. Your expertise will be essential in undertaking safety and condition audits, as well as providing specialist support to the track engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Audit rail stress control, thermite welding, flashbutt welding, civil maintenance welding and non-destructive testing of rails on new construction and for maintenance works.
* Audit the manufacture of new track materials supplied by quality inspections to ensure compliance with technical standards, specifications, drawings and codes.
* Undertake specialist training and testing of workers, including competency assessment as required.
* Review the field performance of track materials and specialist rail technology processes, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
* Current and clean driver's license
* Attention to detail and ability to consistently manage learner outcomes
* Continuous improvement mindset to achieve successful learning outcomes
* Excellent communication and engagement skills
