**About the role**: A Local city council is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated professional to join our Digital Technology and Services team as our Application Support Agent.
The Application Support Agent is responsible to provide technical support to our internal users. This is an ideal role for a proactive and motivated professional with technical expertise.
**Duties**:
- Action and resolve user incidents, accurately and efficiently.
- Trouble-shoot and escalate issues in a timely manner to resolve.
- Ensure core business systems are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Work with vendors to continuously improve systems and processes, including upgrades and maintenance.
- Ensure the security and integrity of systems is maintained.
- Design and deliver tools and training to support user experience and productivity.
- Liaise with and work effectively with key stakeholders.
- Attend appropriate meetings associated with DTS projects and improvements.
- Develop and update DTS documentation and procedures related to any systems changes.
- Adhere to all DTS procedures and standards.
- Undertake all relevant mandatory training and participate in professional and personal development to improve personal performance and teamwork.
**Skills & Experience**:
- Proficient in incident management and request fulfilment processes.
- Knowledge and experience in service management practices, such as ITIL.
- Comfortable with learning new technologies and techniques.
- Preferably exposure to service management tools such as Jira Service Desk or similar functionality.
**Culture**:Well organised and structured workplace providing knowledge and experience in process driven environments.
