The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is one of Australia's leading research schools in civil and environmental engineering. We provide practice-based learning informed by industry experts and research leaders to ensure we develop work-ready graduates.
The Centre for Green Technology was established to develop novel technologies for future clean fuels, vehicle emissions measurement, and environmental decontamination.
About the Role
The School seeks to recruit two new Postdoctoral Research Associate positions to support collaborative, industry-focused research in the field of chemical process engineering and the specialised area of catalyst synthesis.
You will play a key role in supporting new grants, publishing research, engaging with the community, and collaborating with industry.
You will work under the direction of the Chemical Engineering Professor in the Centre for Green Technology. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will have the opportunity to work in world class facilities at UTS Tech Lab (Botany) and in mentoring research and capstone students.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated experience in the design, construction, and operation of experimental reactors and the use of various analytical techniques. You will have the ability to produce high quality journal articles, as well as excellent time and project management skills. You will also have;
• Completion of a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related fields
• Demonstrated extensive experience in zeolite synthesis
• Demonstrated experience in oxidation processes and catalyst poisoning
• Demonstrated experience in transition metal modified zeolites
• Demonstrated experience in catalytic reactions for environmental applications such as denox and combustion
• Demonstrated experience in zeolite characterisation
• Experienced working on industry-based projects

Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $94,152 - $114,672 pa (Level A)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months
