The role
Community Engagement Officer
We are looking for a Community Engagement Officer to serve as the primary point of contact at our Cherbourg Campus and within the regional community to connect community members with TAFE Queensland training opportunities.
This temporary full‐time role (36 hours and 15 minutes per week) will run until 31 December 2026 and reports to the Manager, Business Development.
Salary: AO4 classification level $92,262 – $101,137 (gross) per annum.

Mandatory Requirements
- Current Queensland driver's licence
- Current Blue Card or Exemption Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement) to comply with the Working with Children Check Act 2000
- It is a genuine occupational requirement that the position be undertaken by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. One referee must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person who can attest to the applicant's background, knowledge, skills and experience as they relate to the position requirements.
Highly Desirable
- Demonstrated connections within the Cherbourg community across different sectors
- Experience using a range of software systems, preferably for student administration management and customer service
- Vocational education and training experience or qualification
- Qualification in business or similar
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent
