About Bethanie
Bethanie is a leading not-for-profit aged care provider based in Western Australia. For 70 years, we have been empowering ageing Australians to lead their most meaningful lives by recognising 'old age' as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.
We're on a mission to create a better world not just for ageing Australians, but their communities as well, and we believe that to make this difference, you need the right people by your side.
Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join the team at Bethanie Peel Aged Care Home, located in Mandurah, to provide support during a period of leave. Bethanie Peel is a warm and welcoming 50-bed facility set amongst landscaped gardens, with a personalised memory support area.
If you share our passion for person-centred therapy services and promoting a positive ageing experience for older people, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* The effective and efficient delivery of customer-centred therapy and lifestyle programs
* Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to improve the quality of life of our residents
About You
* Current full, unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist
* Relevant experience in an aged care environment or supporting people living with dementia is an advantage but not essential
* Relatable and able to share knowledge to support change at all levels
About the Role
This role is offered on a fixed-term part-time basis, with the successful applicant working 13 hours per week until potentially longer than 23 February 2026. The roster is negotiable and can be discussed further at interview.
The Therapy Team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, a Senior Dietitian, and a Senior Speech Pathologist. The team is supported by a full-time Allied Health Manager and a Senior Therapy Team Lead with over a decade of experience as an Occupational Therapist in aged care.
We will consider applicants at all levels of seniority, so those with less experience or new graduates are encouraged to apply, as we can offer clinical support and professional development opportunities tailored to you.
This is your chance to gain exposure to the rewarding sector of aged care.
