Senior Client Service Officer Specialist
Location: Ongoing role in Bega NSW and Talent Pool for various locations listed below
Albury, Batemans Bay, Bathurst, Lithgow, Bega, Coniston, Cowra, Dubbo, Goulburn, Griffith, Orange, Parkes, Queanbeyan, Shellharbour and Wagga Wagga
Base Salary range: Clerk Grade 5/6, salary from $99,380 - to $110,271 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
Senior Client Service Officer Specialist provide individualised case coordination and support engagement for clients with complex barriers within the Homes NSW environment. The role manages relationships, partnerships and networks between communities and the Department to improve communication on and access to services for clients and to support sustainable tenancies.
What you'll do
* The Senior Client Service Officer Specialist (SCSOS) assists clients with complex support and housing needs, providing specialised advice and making referrals to appropriate support services. The SCSOS role provides a broad range of tenancy and property management services and advice to clients.
* You will be working across a range of Housing programs (including Rent Choice, Start Safely and Private Rental Brokerage), policies and systems to maximise efficiency and service delivery outcomes as well as providing training, coaching and support to team members.
* Working collaboratively with Client Service Officers, Team Leaders, internal and external service providers, you will develop innovative strategies to deliver improved client outcomes and contribute to continual improvement in achieving key performance indicators for the District.
* The Specialist will coordinate local staff from Housing and will work closely with a range of stakeholders including Aboriginal Organisations, Community Housing Providers, Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS), NDIS Providers, NSW Health and other allied health professionals.
What we're looking for
The SCSO Specialist will be expected to be able to offer support or advice on Access including applications, waitlists and temporary accommodation, private rental products, and basic tenancy policy, to individuals as well as in group settings.
* Formal post-secondary educational qualifications and experience in welfare related work or social environment, or significant work experience gained by working in that area is highly desirable.
In addition to meeting the essential requirements, the successful candidate will have the following:
* Ability to work independently and manage your own work. Including working both independently and within a team environment.
* Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* A commitment to a culture of teamwork, excellence and continuous improvement.
* Client service skills with an empathic approach to clients.
* A strong commitment to customer service.
