This includes implementing positive behaviour support through clear expectations and effective classroom management.We are seeking teachers who are ideally self-reflective and continuously monitor the impact of teaching and learning in the classroom through the ongoing, rigorous analysis of student data.
It is desirable for applicants to display an understanding of evidence-based learning practices, such as Promoting Literacy Development (PLD), Science of Reading, Talk for Writing, Seven Steps to Successful Writing, Paul Swan Maths, and instructional strategies.Experience in fostering a learning environment that supports creative and critical thinking is also valued.
Suitable applicants will ideally display a commitment to ongoing professional learning and development, including observation and effective feedback, and be confident in using Information Communication Technology (ICT) to enhance and improve student learning.
We are looking for teachers who create classrooms where students are engaged, challenged, feel safe to take risks, and are supported to learn.
Experience with the Resilience Project and Positive Behaviour Support is highly recommended.
