Our Journey- The Older Adult Mental Health Service
Monash Health's Older Adult Mental Health provide services of assessment and treatment for people over the age of 65 years, who have a psychiatric disability and or dementia with associated behaviours of concern requiring treatment. The Older Adult Mental Health Service also has strong relationships with the Residential Aged Care Services, providing mental health services to the three Psychogeriatric Nursing Homes (PGNH)

About You
You are energetic as well as determined and perform above expectations as a Clinical or Forensic psychologist. You are either seeking a P3 position or have demonstrated experience as a P2. You communicate effectively, both written and verbally. Your ideas to improve service delivery through research and Quality Improvement Activities are always welcomed as our team is newly established. As a dedicated psychologist in public health you care about patients and deliver quality psychological services. Your track record includes demonstrated success in the following areas:
4. Provide comprehensive psychological assessment and treatment
5. Contribute to patient management plans in conjunction with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders
6. Involvement with multi-disciplinary teams in mental health services
7. Engagement in quality processes of continuous improvement, and research initiatives
8. You have strong written and verbal communication skills, you are an active listener and possess well developed negotiation and influencing abilities that will be used in working with patients, and internal and external stakeholders.

What you need:
14. Hold current general registration as a psychologist and endorsement in Clinical or Forensic Psychology through AHPRA
15. Hold supervisor endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) for Higher Degree programs and Registrar Supervision (primary and secondary) or working towards same
16. Working with Children’s Check and Police Check
17. Clinical experience in mental health services
