At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery, and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
Your impact
Our bodies and environment all depend on water; it is the building block that supports all life. Water issues are increasingly prominent due to disparities in water availability and demands, pollution, and competition for limited resources.
At Jacobs, we recognize these challenges. Our engineers, scientists, and planners work together with clients to find solutions to water challenges. We have an opportunity for an Associate Water Engineer to join our team in Cairns.
In this role, you will provide consultancy, design, and engineering services within the Northern Australia portfolio—covering Cairns, Darwin, and Townsville—as well as to the wider Jacobs business across Australia and New Zealand. You will collaborate with commercial, project management, and technical leaders to plan, develop, deliver, and operate a range of water infrastructure projects. You will also manage projects to ensure timely, on-budget delivery and client satisfaction.
Work Environment & Culture
We value collaboration and believe in the importance of in-person interactions for our culture and client delivery. Our hybrid working policy empowers employees to split their work week between our offices and remote locations to enable them to perform at their best.
