Bakers Delight Tamworth is seeking 2 x qualified and experienced full-time Bakers to join our team with a remuneration offer of $77,000 to $80,000 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Measure, weigh and prepare ingredients according to recipes and production requirements, and mix, knead and process dough using commercial baking equipment.
* Produce and bake a variety of bread and bakery products, including loaves, rolls, buns, pastries and savoury items, by setting and monitoring proofing conditions, oven temperatures and baking times to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
* Shape, mould, cut, finish and decorate dough and baked products by hand as required, coordinating proving, baking and cooling processes to meet daily production schedules.
* Examine and assess finished bakery products to ensure they meet required standards of taste, texture, size, appearance and freshness before sale to customers.
* Operate bakery machinery and equipment such as mixers, dough dividers, proofers, ovens and slicers safely and efficiently in accordance with workplace procedures.
* Maintain a clean, hygienic and safe work environment by cleaning and sanitising work areas, tools and equipment, and by strictly following food safety standards and workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements.
* Monitor ingredient quality and stock levels, assist with ordering supplies as required, and plan production quantities to meet customer demand while minimising waste.
* Record production output and wastage accurately and adjust baking schedules based on sales patterns, special orders and seasonal demand.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
* A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience working as a Baker in a commercial bakery environment.
* Certificate III in Baking or an equivalent qualification is preferred, or equivalent relevant practical experience.
* Strong practical knowledge of dough preparation, proofing, and baking processes, including operation of large mixers, rack ovens, and other bakery equipment.
* Attention to detail and commitment to product quality and consistency.
* Good understanding of food hygiene standards and the ability to maintain a clean, safe workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, early-morning environment as part of a team
